Our pet friendly cottage rentals Ontario guests have been loving for years let you bring your dog along so no one gets left behind on vacation. The hiking trails, open grass areas, and quiet country setting give your pet plenty of room to stretch their legs.
We do have a few simple rules to keep everyone happy. Pets should be quiet and housebroken. They must stay on leash whenever they are outside the cottage, and please clean up after them. At check in, we will ask to see proof of vaccination for your pet. That is it. Follow those few guidelines and the whole family, paws included, can enjoy their stay.

Spring
Quiet, crisp, and one of the best times for pike fishing. Fewer crowds on the lake and trails, blooming wildflowers in the nearby alvars, and some of our lowest rates of the year. Ideal for anglers and couples.
Summer
The heart of cottage season. Warm water for swimming, long evenings on the deck, and prime family vacation weeks. Summer weeks book up fast, so reserve early if you want July and August dates.
Fall
Ontario fall colours turn the forest around the resort into a postcard. Excellent for weekend getaways, fall fishing, and peaceful hiking. Cooler nights make the cottages feel extra cozy.

How far is Lake Dalrymple Resort from Toronto?
Lake Dalrymple Resort is approximately 90 minutes to 1 hour 45 minutes from downtown Toronto, depending on traffic. The drive is about 143 km along Highway 404 north. Guests from Vaughan, Oshawa, and Bowmanville typically arrive in 1.5 hours. Guests from Hamilton should plan for about 2 hours 15 minutes, and Niagara Falls visitors around 2 hours 45 minutes.
How many people can each cottage accommodate?
Our 22 cottages range from 2-person units to 6-person family cottages. Every cottage is clearly listed with its sleeping capacity so you can find the right fit. If you are travelling with a larger group, you can book multiple cottages side by side to keep everyone on the same row, steps from the water.
What is included in each cottage?
Every cottage includes a full kitchen with stove and refrigerator, cookware and utensils, indoor seating, a private deck with outdoor seating, and a propane BBQ. Bathrooms vary by cottage between two-piece, three-piece, and four-piece layouts.
Please bring your own bedding, pillows, and towels. The one exception is our premium cottage which includes bedding, pillows, and towels.
Are the cottages pet friendly?
Yes. Lake Dalrymple Resort welcomes quiet, housebroken pets. Dogs must stay on leash whenever they are outside the cottage and must be cleaned up after. At check in, we will ask to see proof of vaccination. There are plenty of trails on and around the property for enjoyable walks with your dog.
Do I need to bring bedding and towels?
Yes, for most cottages. Please bring your own bedding, pillows, and towels. We do not offer laundry service, so plan to pack enough for the duration of your stay. Our premium cottage (Cottage 24) is the one exception and includes bedding, pillows, and towels in the rental.
Do you offer fishing boat rentals?
Yes. Lake Dalrymple Resort offers small outboard fishing boat rentals with half-day, full-day, multi-day, and full-week packages. Live bait and tackle are available at our on-site convenience store. Visit our boat rentals page for full details, or book your boat when you reserve your cottage.
Can I book a weekend cottage getaway?
Absolutely. Weekend packages are one of our most popular options for guests coming from Toronto and the GTA. Spring and fall weekends offer the most flexibility, while summer weekends fill up quickly. We recommend reserving your weekend getaway as early as possible.
When is the best time of year to visit?
Each season has its own appeal. Spring is quiet and excellent for pike fishing. Summer is peak cottage season with the warmest swimming weather and longest days. Fall brings the Ontario colours, cooler nights, and great fall fishing. Our cottages are open spring through fall.
What are your cottage rental rates?
Rates vary by cottage and by season (Spring/Fall Weekends, Holiday Weekends, Spring/Fall Weekly, and Summer Weekly). How far in advance should I book?
For summer weekends and holiday weeks, we recommend booking as early as possible, often months in advance. Spring and fall availability is typically easier to find and usually offers better rates. You can check live availability through our online reservation system at any time.
